Hey everyone! I hope that you're reading this blog with great smelling pits after reading my last post! This week I've certainly got another treat for you! I'm so excited because I'm going to share one of my all time favorite natural products. I'm not going to tell you what it is just yet but I will say that it's the absolute best alternative to the ever popular Vaseline. Anyway, I love this product so much that I feel like Tyra Banks when she gave a studio audience mini bedazzled containers of Vaseline and ran up and down the aisles screaming like a mad woman. If you haven't seen this video clip then you need to stop everything you're doing and watch it now!
Okay, I'm now ready to do the big reveal since you've watched the Tyra video and you can fully understand how excited I'm feeling! I'm talking about Waxelene!! The cool thing about this product is it's so versatile that it can be used in a hundred different ways on your skin, hair, pets, babies, etc. It's like Tyra says about Vaseline, "The eye and anything cream!" If you visit the Waxelene website you'll find a list of all the ways you can use the stuff. Personally, I like to use it as makeup remover for taking off tough waterproof mascara. On a side note, I haven't found a good natural waterproof mascara yet so if you have a good recommendation then send it my way.
I discovered Waxelene after I had been using Neutrogena Makeup Removing Cleansing Towelettes for over 10 years. One night I removed my makeup with the towelette but it burned the skin around my eyes like salsa being poured into an open wound. I know that sounds a bit over exaggerated but my skin turned red and it burned for about an hour! Nothing had changed, the package wasn't new and I used this stuff on a daily basis. But it's like I said in my last post, I think my body's chemistry is changing from day to day as I get older. For some reason, I'm just becoming more sensitive to things I've used for years. Initially, I thought a good alternative to my makeup remover cloths would be the old fashion route of Vaseline and a towel. However, trying to take off waterproof mascara with that stuff is kind of difficult and I end up tearing out some of my eyelashes from all the rubbing. But not with Waxelene! It's creamy and smooth so it causes makeup to come right off when using it with a dry washcloth. It's amazing! It even smells delightfully of honey and rosemary. I also use this product as a hair styling wax, lip balm and eye moisturizer. Best of all, Waxelene is only made with 4 natural and organic ingredients: organic GMO-free soy oil, natural and unbleached raw beeswax, natural vitamin E oil and organic rosemary oil.
You can find Waxelene at Sprouts or CVS but a 9oz glass jar will cost anywhere from $16-$19. The best deal is from Amazon for $12.60. But overall the price isn't bad because a little goes a long way! I bought a brand new jar last month and I have used less than 1/4th of the product. So it'll last a long time even if you use it everyday. Hurry up now and get yourself a jar. I know that once you try it, you'll wonder what you've been doing with your life!
With that said, YOU GOT WAXELENE AND YOU GOT WAXELENE AND YOU GOT WAXELENE!!!!
